When it
opened in the mid-1990s, Carnegie Hill Antiques was a pioneer in
establishing a presence for antiques in this elegant Upper East Side
neighborhood. The firm specializes in 19th and 18th C.
English furniture, including an array of tables, chests of drawers, desks,
large chairs, settees, mirrors and sidechairs. In addition, Carnegie Hill
Antiques carries a range of Chinese export porcelains, landscape and
portrait paintings, and such decorative accessories as sconces, candlesticks
and wall hangings.
An outgrowth of the success
of the flagship store in Manhattan, Carnegie Hill Antiques II was
opened in the spring of 2005 in the Berkshires village of Norfolk,
Connecticut.
Carnegie Hill Antiques
is characterized by the owner’s desire always to match the right antiques to
the tastes and desires of clients.
